June 25, 2005--"VIVA LA STEW!" Yes, we are still alive and papa's got a brand new bag (i.e., we redesigned the website to make it more amenable to regular updates). Papa's also got some new content for your weary music-lovin' ears.

Much of the new content that you'll see in the coming months has been making babies with the dust bunnies on my shelf--get off my ass, papa's been reflectin'. Sure, some of this stuff is a few years old, but who the hell cares? Good music is timeless, right?

Here's what we've got this month:

  • IN FEATURES--Who can pull together an epic editorial piece that weaves together George W. Bush, Wookies, and scenester butt monkeys? DJ Sloppy can. Check out our latest feature--"The Slop Bucket." Lord help us all.

  • IN ALBUM REVIEWS--North Carolina's very own Hotel Lights release an impressive debut record.

  • IN LIVE REVIEWS--Ohio's Black Keys deliver a scorcher at Cat's Cradle.
